Music unites people. It can break borders and almost always leaves a cathartic effect on everyone present. That’s the beauty of music, an art that is sometimes difficult to express but quite easy to understand.
On the 30th of October 2019, LDJ Capital sponsored the musical performance in tribute to Niccolo Paganini, the violin virtuoso. The “Paganini Honors Paganini” concert was held at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City. The concert was thoughtfully produced and presented by Maria Elena Paganini, a successful television presenter and a descendant of the late violinist extraordinaire.
Niccolo Paganini was an Italian violinist, composer, and guitarist. He was given the nickname, “the violinist of the devil” for his exceptional musical skills. Niccolo was the most celebrated violin virtuoso of his generation.
The composer’s stellar compositions were given justice by five accomplished violinists, Edmond Fokker van Crayestein, Elly Suh, Kevin Zhu, Sabrina Vivian Höpcker, Stefan Milenkovich and pianist, Jochem Geene. Edmond Fokker van Crayestein was also the musical director.
The violins used include one Stradivarius and four Guarnieri Del Gesú, courtesy of Florian Leonard, a leading expert in fine violins.
It was definitely a beautiful night that not only honored Niccolo Paganini but highlighted why he is a musical legend. His intricate art will surely continue to resonate through his music.
