June 24, 2015NEW YORK managers, corporate pensions, family offices and public funds converged in Amsterdam, The Netherlands for the European Family Office and Institutional Investment Forum. This two day forum took place on the 3rd and 4th June, 2015 at the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel. The event created engaging discussions around developing investment trends and stimulated dialogue among family office and institutional investors on possible networking opportunities. As a growing financial hub in Europe, Netherlands provides the ideal location for this event as it offers unending financial opportunities with innovations in solar energy, globalization and fixed income.

The forum agenda featured a combination of opening remarks, panel discussions, one-on-one meetings and networking cocktail receptions. Representatives from family offices and public funds discussed the reasons for choosing emerging managers and the process of selecting them, explored the psychological and practical barriers to entry, hedge fund industry trends as well a checklist for what investors should look for in identification of emerging managers. Investors participated in a closed door roundtable meeting over breakfast that was scheduled for early morning on day two.
