The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters is an annual tennis tournament for the top male players in the world. It is held yearly at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, making it a fan favorite because of its spectacular location and impressive list of Champions. This year’s tournament recently concluded last April 17, 2016, where Rafael Nadal emerged as the winner and Gael Monfils placed second.
I had the opportunity to be part of this year’s prestigious event. It was a unique experience for me and a series of many firsts. Before the opening gala dinner, I had an unexpected exclusive preview of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters Launch Party at Zelo’s restaurant with the Prince Albert of Monaco Trophy in tow.
Another first was during the draw of the players, where Baroness Elisabeth-Anne de Massy was assisted by the guest of honor and defending champion, Novak Djokovic. It was held at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco or also known as Musee Oceanique. Afterwards, I got a once-in-a-lifetime job to deliver the trophy back to the Monte-Carlo Country Club from Musee Oceanique, together with my friend Stuart, and the members of the royal Monaco family.
It was definitely a fun and memorable event not only for professional tennis players, Roger Moore, Boris Becker, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer but also for me.
