I’m fascinated with hotels.
Coming up with my own scorecard for the hotels I have been to all over the world is as natural as breathing for me.
Last week I stayed at the Z NYC Hotel in Long Island City. It has an old 1996 Cadillac Stretch as the awning. How quaint, but not all that unfamiliar as I once owned a 1996 Cadillac Stretch.
There are around 26 hotels in the city and Z NYC Hotel had the most amazing view. It has a marvelous lobby with a black gigantic chandelier and triple height ceilings. I loved the old trunks used as the check-in desk and the grand murals.
I stayed in room 1101. Its floor-to-ceiling glass window facing Queensborough bridge was spectacular. Manhattan looked magnificent. Definitely a must-visit hotel for its stunning view of Queensborough Bridge, a cantilever bridge designed by Gustav Lindenthal in 1903 for New York City and completed in April 1909. It excites you just seeing this view from your bed.
Here is my #FSHotel (Five Star Hotel) Rating & Scorecard for this hotel which I am publishing for the first time. If you have been to this hotel, check this out and tell me if you can identify with some of the elements of this experience.
